Many people that have been to the Steel Stacks may not realize there is a cozy little cafe/dinner theatre on the third floor across the street. The Musikfest Theatre, as it’s called, holds about 1,000 people. It’s intimate and lovely and just about the perfect venue to see Low Cut Connie.
Even though Adam Weiner stands out in front of the band that’s to his eccentricity, they are a lovely bunch to be around. I had the pleasure of meeting the band before the show and snapping a couple up close and personal photographs. Adam is just as genuine in a casual setting as he is up there on stage dancing on Shondra.
The opening bands were fun, but you could feel the energy change when Adam and company took the stage. With our attention focused on the stage, the band didn’t let us down. They roared through top notch versions of classics like “Dirty Water” and “Revolution Rock N’ Roll” with grace. Things even slowed down a bit with a great rendition of their new release, “Beverly.”
Capturing the band in action is super thrilling. I can’t wait to do it again!
