Part XXIV:
Her toes began to wobble and her feet began to shake. The gentle touch from Jiggle’s hand was more than enough to bring back her balance for long enough to get back to solid ground. At some point during the walk down the concrete steps, sleeplessness began to be a problem for Lesley. She felt darkness emanating from the back of her eyeballs and attempting to force them shut. It took a great deal of effort to make it down to the bottom without collapsing.
Feeling that Lesley looked a bit too bewildered for her own good, Jiggle questioned, “Are you going to be able to make it back home by yourself?”
Feeling faint enough to be uncertain of her whereabouts, Lesley replied, “Um, I am not quite sure. My address is…”
Before she could finish her sentence, Lesley passed out right against Jiggle’s chest. There was little cause for concern, as she was breathing heavily. Although she may have slipped awkwardly into a state of sleep, Jiggle decided to leave her resting on a nearby bench. Supporting her head with a piece of her outerwear, he left her alone.
