Lesley revelled a bit in the glances she received from the four men in unison. It didn’t take very much for her to get them excited. She had little to offer them in order to maintain their attention for a considerable time and walked back towards the bar. Jiggle caught sight of her right away and began pouring her another drink as she pulled up a stool.
“I got your note,” Jiggle said, “but I would rather see you tonight after I get off. I am not sure I could handle the suspense of having to call you.”
Lesley began to chuckle to herself and her face lit up in a big smile. “Can we go back to your place? I am not sure my roommate will like to see me bring home another man.”
This subtle way of saying her husband would be jealous was enough for Jiggle. He took the information and ran with it. Not much of a long term worker, he saw this as his opportunity to get out. It was only around 2:00 am and he was expected to stay until closing. Jiggle removed his logoed hat and apron, rolled them into a ball, and placed them in the unsuspecting arms of his boss. The simple words “I quit” weren’t enough to set anybody at ease.
