Part XI:
“Let’s get out of here,” Jiggle said to Lesley, his impulsiveness making her feel a bit wild and crazy herself. “We can still find a way to make the most of our time together before the sun rises.”
“What happens when the sun comes up?” Lesley began, as she quaffed down a mouthful of saliva. “Do you turn into the ice man or something?”
She wasn’t quite sure what the ice man was, or how that term had found its way to her tongue, but it did. Jiggle looked affably back at Lesley, hoping he wasn’t putting her too far back on her heels with his strange comment. He decided to make a joke of it, not wanting to tell her at this point that he was not about to get involved in a serious relationship with her. What he didn’t know was that Lesley felt pretty much the same way.
With a smirk, Jiggle offered, “I guess you’ll just have to wait around and see. Follow me. I want to show you my favorite spot in the city. It’s a good thing you’re not wearing heels. It is quite a climb!”
