“This may bring back your memories of that event, but maybe it is time to confront your fear and leave it in the past. Since everything happens for a reason, that could be what has drawn be to you. Now, let’s get to it before the sun comes up and makes the journey less enjoyable.”
“What are you some kind of vampire?” Lesley joked. “I bet the sunrise is beautiful from up here.”
“Perhaps,” said Jiggle, “but the glare off the metal beam makes it nearly impossible to see. Now follow me!”
After saying this, Jiggle took a direct line towards the catwalk, without saying another word. He climbed up the short wall surrounding the roof and gingerly stepped onto the smooth metal beam, that was only about wide enough to fit both of his feet, side by side. Once he had established his balance, he spread out his arms and walked swiftly across to the other side.
Lesley was astonished at how easily he had just done that. From the other side, she could see Jiggle there waving her along. Taking in a deep breath, she climbed up onto the wall and closed her eyes quickly, to avoid looking down at the street below. Once she was clear on her resolve not to look down, she looked straight across at the other side and raised herself slowly to a standing position.
