Part XXIX:
Harjen longed only for two things. The first was a simple solution to his own dilemma. The second was a bit more difficult for him to even understand himself. Ever since he began this search for the symbols on the cavern walls, he discovered a great deal about himself. As with any exploration, the harder he tried to uncover the mystery of it all, the less successful he actually was.
Case in point, Harjen quickly discovered a way to catalogue the symbols he discovered and attempted to assemble them in an order that he could understand. It was not necessarily done this way in an attempt to share what he discovered, but more as a way to interpret it for himself. If he had really been interested in one day fulfilling the prophecy of the spirit guide, he knew that it would take a great deal of effort.
Beyond the typical interest that may be associated with any sort of innate discovery, Harjen became much closer to himself throughout the process. The symbols he uncovered in different sections of the cavern seemed to piece together to form some sort of map. The map, when properly assembled led to none other than a buried treasure.
