Part XXII:
His sleep was a whole lot more restful than one could imagine in the uncomfortable environment. There was no sun or heat to cause him to wake in a state of restlessness. His body entered a sort of cold, lifeless state for what could only be stated as a series of hours. Bears hibernate in a similar state.
If only the minerals within the rock continued to make their way effortlessly into his system, by no conscious effort of his own, he would soon become transmogrified. It was only mystical insomuch as could be expected, but the change began nonetheless.
Continuing to grow and evolve, Harjen’s own inner sanctum became an asylum. As soon as nothing was able to come or go from the perspective he found himself in, things began to emerge that would have sent most humans in a similar condition reeling. Harjen, contrarily, was in a perplexed state that would take some time to fully solve.
