I am in Control
Like showers that commence on a sunny day;
A fortnight being grounded, so they say.
It left me feeling porous, aplomb eluded;
Corrosive fibers fraught with ire intruded.
I couldn’t bear the thought of sulking spite.
I turned and reared a whip, split just right.
I am in control now, no matter if you care;
Alone among the hilltops, feeling I should share.
Tempered, ‘fore it takes my simple thoughts,
Toward another valley, among the lily squats.
