A Muffle in the Head Row
Ahoy! The captain screams above deck;
Whitened skin beneath a patch, a fleck.
What’s that you say? A journey from the bay?
Countered by forces, coursing violently away.
At night they travel, anchored down by day;
Something shaken, a standard stirring sound.
Scared stiff by a muffle in the head row;
Not the least of which we keep in tow.
Speak softly, lest our wary dirge awaken
Limbs collected, that which we have taken.
