Temporarily

Temporarily

It came and dawned on me, if only temporarily.
All those who row along, do so rather merrily.

A plan of action, not thought about, but spawned,
Talking, one totem pole to another, as I yawned.

Triumphantly resume, awash, as teetotaler’s imbibe
A passing frenzy, so popular, it pleased a local tribe.

Trapped in turmoil, it’s written on a stone, alone
With dirt; twenty years since it’s been known.

Torturously talking to the ones we left behind,
Peeling telltale oranges, leaving just the rind.

A twist of fate, or triumph, tell me total lies.
The mist behind the tertiary, microscopic eyes.
