Conduct not Becoming

Conduct not Becoming

An athlete of the past returns,
Even though the outer layer burns.
You earned the right to be here,
Why not act like you are clear?
Shouting in a most beleaguered way,
With conduct not becoming of a play.
Raging, retaliating, relentless ire,
From the frying pan into the fire.
Hate to see you go, a lot of it about;
Splendid in the madness, just a shout.
